Horley is a traditional market town blending the old with the new. Located near Gatwick South, the town has a new pedestrianised precinct with easy access and street level parking.  There are many specialist shops, boutiques, pubs and restaurants, making the town attractive particularly for visitors to and from nearby Gatwick Airport.

Lingfield Park Racecourse- 7.1 miles

This racecourse is known as one of the most picturesque racecourses in the UK. Nestled within 450 acres of beautiful Surrey countryside, it is the perfect day out at the races for seasoned pros or first timers. There is a choice to dine in style at their Trackside Restaurant or one of the hospitality suites. Lingfield Racecourse hosts many race meetings all year round including Flat and National Hunt racing, family days, racing & music nights and the popular ladies' evening.

Hawth Theatre – 6.1 miles

About 10 minutes walk from Crawley Train Station, The Hawth Theatre and Cultural centre in Crawley is an arts and entertainment complex and a leading venue for touring and local talent in dance, drama, comedy, music and children’s entertainment. The centre includes an auditorium for 900 people, a studio and outdoor amphitheatre to cater for all manner of shows. Enjoy a pre-show or post-show meal at the restaurant, coffee shop or one of the two bars.

Chessington World of Adventures – 17 miles

Chessington is one of Europes most popular theme parks. With 27 rides including four exciting roller coasters, a Zoo and a Sealife centre this park is very popular with children. The park comprises of nine themed lands including Wild Asia, the Forbidden kingdom, Land of the Dragons and Mexicana. A perfect day out for families with children of all ages. The park is well accessible by road, train and bus.

Reigate Priory Museum – 4.8 miles

Reigate Priory is a grade 1 listed building set in approximately 65 acres of open parkland featuring a pond, woodland and playing fields.  The magnificent building houses an ornate stone fireplace dating from the early 17th century, an imposing 18th century staircase and many beautiful, original ceiling and wall paintings by the Italian artist, Antonio Verrio.  This historic building is also home to a museum housing a collection of items, including period costumes, used to stage exhibitions portraying aspects of life in the past.  This museum is enjoyed by both adults and children alike.

British Wildlife Centre – 7.8 miles

Home to over 40 different wildlife species, you can view many of the species in their natural habitat within the animal enclosures.  There is ample to see at any time of the year and most animals can be seen whatever the weather.  The centre has a visitor centre and arranges Keeper talks for visitors that want to learn more about the animals at the Centre.  Enjoy lunch in the Coffee Shop or in the Picnic Area and enjoy the abundant opportunities to capture the wildlife on camera.

Hever Castle and Gardens – 16.9 miles

This was the childhood home of Anne Boleyn, one of the many wives of Henry VIII.  The castle is a 13th century castle which houses a plethora of 16th century portraits, paintings, furniture, tapestries and treasures.  Visitors to the castle can explore the enchanting gardens in all seasons which include the Italian, Rose and Tudor gardens, a yew maze and the splashing water maze. Or you can simply take a stroll around the informal areas of Sunday Walk and Anne Boleyn’s Walk and savour the peaceful surroundings.

Brighton – 30.3 miles

Brighton is one of the UKs most famous sea side destinations.  It is well known for its busy sea front and chic shopping district during the day and vibrant night life.  A trip to Brighton is a must when staying in Horley.
